Our Story
Founded in 2018 in Yokohama, Hikari Tone Instruments began as a local music store focused on connecting musicians with quality instruments. Our founders, experienced musicians and instrument technicians, saw an opportunity to create a music store that combines new and pre-owned instruments with maintenance services and education.
We started as a small shop specializing in acoustic guitars and have since expanded to include pianos, drums, and a broader range of musical instruments. Today, we serve musicians across Kanagawa Prefecture from our Yokohama location.
Our Mission
At Hikari Tone, we aim to provide access to quality instruments for musicians at various stages of their musical journey. Our focus is on offering curated instruments along with maintenance services and educational opportunities to support local musicians in Yokohama and the surrounding area.
We work to extend the life of quality instruments through our trade-in and refurbishment services, while providing personalized attention and knowledgeable guidance to our customers.
