Service Description and Availability

Hikari Tone Instruments provides music instrument retail services, including sales of new and pre-owned instruments, rental programs, maintenance services, music lessons, and related accessories. Our services are available to customers in Japan and surrounding regions.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our services at any time without prior notice. Service availability may vary by location and is subject to inventory and staffing constraints.

Account Registration and Responsibilities

To access certain features of our services, you may be required to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Purchase Terms and Pricing

All prices are listed in Japanese Yen (JPY) and are subject to change without notice. Prices do not include applicable taxes, shipping, or handling fees unless otherwise specified. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and cancel orders placed at incorrect prices.

Payment is due at the time of purchase unless alternative arrangements have been made. We accept various payment methods as indicated during checkout. All sales are final unless otherwise specified in our return policy.

Rental Program Terms

Our rental programs are subject to availability and approval. Rental agreements require a security deposit and valid identification. Renters are responsible for the care and maintenance of rented instruments during the rental period.

Rental fees are due in advance and are non-refundable except as specified in the rental agreement. Late returns may incur additional fees. Damage or loss of rented instruments will result in repair or replacement charges.

Trade-in and Buyback Services

Trade-in values are determined by our certified appraisers based on instrument condition, market demand, and other factors. Trade-in offers are valid for a limited time and subject to final inspection upon receipt of the instrument.

We reserve the right to refuse any trade-in or adjust valuations based on actual condition. Trade-in credits may be applied toward purchases or issued as store credit at our discretion.

Lesson Booking and Cancellation

Music lessons must be booked in advance and are subject to instructor availability. Lesson fees are due at the time of booking. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid charges.

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule lessons due to instructor unavailability, weather conditions, or other circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, full refunds or rescheduling will be offered.

Delivery and Installation Services

Delivery and installation services are available within our service area for an additional fee. Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to weather, traffic, or other factors beyond our control.

Customers must be present during delivery and installation. Additional charges may apply for special handling, multiple delivery attempts, or installation complications not disclosed at the time of purchase.

Warranty and Return Policy

New instruments come with manufacturer warranties as specified. Pre-owned instruments include our limited warranty covering major defects for a specified period. Warranty terms vary by product and are provided at the time of purchase.

Returns are accepted within 14 days of purchase for unused items in original condition. Custom orders, special orders, and certain categories of products may not be returnable. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to our error.

Intellectual Property Rights

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Hikari Tone Instruments or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of our content without our express written permission. Unauthorized use of our intellectual property may result in legal action.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service or product giving rise to the claim.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our services shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture.

You agree to waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in class action lawsuits related to your use of our services.

Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
